Sneak peek

The idea of having a blog where both me and my total opposite i.e Bhargava, could post on topics has been floating around for quite some time. How much time does it take really to register a blog. If my memory serves me well, it takes at least a couple of months. We are busy folk you see. I am occupied with office, yoga, shopping, movie watching and reading ;while the busy-as-a-bee B, has his staring at the fan routine that makes him pressed for time ! Jokes apart, B is done with college and I have somehow rediscovered my mojo (for writing that is), and this seems like an ideal time to finally kick start the idea.

Why the title 'chalk plus cheese'. For starters, let me make it crystal clear that we do not represent the aforementioned entities in any way. Not at all. I mean, except for the fact that I am the one who usually 'chalks' out plans and B is someone who loves cheese, I do not see any relation (after my supremely insightful explanation, am certain none of you do either). We brainstormed like crazy over the title, came up with some really cliched names and then decided to go with something random. This title though, isn't quite random :).

Will leave it open for B to jot down his take on the blog and let me reiterate for the record that I do not understand why he likes to call himself, or rather his more creative alter-ego, 'renderkid'. Random nomenclature is not one of his hobbies as far as I know. But that is only as far as I know :). Will blog back soon with something more concrete. Meanwhile you guys can go through my other blog. It would be even better if you drop in comments :). Okay, I am done with some shameless promotion. Cya soon.



Looking at the following words Nammu would definitely say, "OMG!! Finally!!" :P. We've had this idea for a really long time and I've made her wait way too long to make it a reality. So I start writing again, sitting at my new desk, in the new office, among new people and in a city I've never been to! Feels strange being away from the city I've lived in for over 15 years and being away from....shucks I'm going off-topic, ain't I? Okay let me save those words and feelings :P for another post :)

What is this blog going to be about? Hmm we don't have a concrete plan as such! Everytime I start planning something I go overboard with the ideas (a.k.a the staring at the fan routine Nammu was talking about! :) ) and I have too much on my mind that the plans never materialize! For this particular 'project' we skip the thinking and planning stage, and so we have no clue how this blog will turn out :) But what we are certain about is that this isn't going to be just another blog! ;) I know, you've heard this a million times before but we make a good and rare team, don't we? - Nammu, the awesome writer and me, a fairly decent web designer! :) and if I just overcome my aah-I'm-not-in-a-mood attitude we could just end up with something cool!

So before I say "cya soon" let me tell you how I came up, just in case you were wondering, with the name renderkid. Ok, actually there isn't much too explain :P The name was inspired by RenderMan - the industry standard rendering engine developed by Pixar which has been the backbone of all the awesomazing movies they've made! Everytime I explain this to Nammu she would say, "aah! don't show off that you are a geek" :) This isn't geeky, is it?
